There’s a sensitive subject.
I will not hit you with standard fodder like, “what is your time worth?” or “can you put a value on peace of mind?”
“If you have to ask, you can’t afford it,” will also not enter the conversation.
I’m not running this Jay.Life thing because I have to earn a living, shoe the children, or afford the cat’s vet (though sometimes that last one…)
Conversely, I’m not running a charity or doing this for free. However, if you happen to be a charitable organization, you should know I’m a big softie…
I’m doing this because I enjoy helping others, I like fixing things, working alongside bright people helps my brain and my heart–all while you benefit as well.
Pricing depends on the scope of work, the deliverables, length of the project, your budget, my time and a host of other factors.
I’m not the most expensive speaker or consultant, and I’m not the cheapest. What I am is fair, and we’ll mutually agree to fees before either of us is obligated to do a thing.
Don’t let, “Oh I can’t afford him” stop us from talking. You may be surprised. Let’s see what we can figure out. If we can work together, great! If not, oh well, no harm done.
Finally, “Initial fit” / “Can I help” discussions are always free of charge, of course.
