Consulting.
Not really a fan of the word. Problem is, what’s better? “Facilitator?” “Advisor?”
How about more like, “Partner.” As in we work together for a common goal. That’s typically fixing something that is broken, or taking something good and making it better. That’s what people hire “consultants” for.
Anyway, there are several ways and several areas where we can work together and that I can help you. There are several more ways and areas where I can’t help. No one person is the right thing for everything. (Except my wife, of course.)
Need help, understanding, repairing, creating or improving anything like:
- Brand reputation and perception
- Monitoring, prioritizing and delivering responses on social media, blogs, news and opinion sites
- Training personnel on how (and how not) to respond and behave in the social space
- Integrating social media with existing customer service and relations processes
- Improving your social media and internet presence
- Content marketing and (written) content creation
You get the drift.
Not sure if we should work together? Totally understandable. Let’s chat about it and figure it out. If it works, great! If not, great!
What do you charge?
If you have to ask, you can’t afford it.
I’m kidding!
Look, I’m not doing this because I need to make a living, to put food on the table, to shoe the children. I’m retired. I didn’t chose to retire based on potential consulting income that may or may not happen; that would be foolish. That said, I’m certainly not doing this for free (although if you are a charity or charitable organization, let’s talk).
I’m not the most expensive, I’m not the least expensive. I charge what we work out based on the scope, length and commitment your needs require and my ability to give them 100%.
Full disclosure: I’m not looking to work full-time. I do appreciate the offers, but that’s not what I’m looking for. It’s me, not you. But 5, 10 hours a week, few hours a month or quarter — one of retirements greatest gifts is the gift of time.
With some of that time, I am always looking to work with smart, fun, innovative people who have something that’s a short-term fix or long-term on-going consultative need. We’d work together to determine a fair rate for fair deliverables based on your needs. Hourly, flat-rate, whatever, that’s all easy to work out.
Speaking
Speaking, it’s different from consulting. Think of speaking as one time, consulting as recurring. More on speaking here.
